FAQ ABOUT ANCHORED

Drop-off

Due to security concerns, we will not be offering drop-off as an option at this time. A parent or guardian is required to be on campus at all times. If you have already signed up and are unable to be on campus, please reach out, and we can arrange a refund for you.

Full Day Opt-Out

If you are unable to attend the full day of programming, from 9 AM to 2:30 PM, we have added an opt-out option on the form.  If you choose to opt out and participate only from 9 AM to noonthe price will be $750 per student aged 3 and up. In addition, daycare and preschool-kindergarten programming will end at noon. For 1st grade students and older, the full-day programming will be $900. For families with both younger and older children, we plan to offer a napping rest area and a play area for the younger siblings from 1 PM to 2:30 PM, enabling you to stay on campus while your older children attend the afternoon class.

Daycare

Daycare will be offered for children 2 years old and under from 9:00 AM to noon. The yearly cost for daycare will be $250. Parents of students who turn three during the year and wish to have their child transition into preschool must contact leadership and pay a pro-rated tuition for the class. There will be a napping area and a free play area available from 1 PM to 2:30 PM for moms and their younger children while older siblings are attending the afternoon class.

Electives

Electives will be offered by individual teachers, à la carte style, so each teacher will choose their subject, curriculum, etc. Further details will be released as we are able. If you are interested in offering an elective class, please email us at info@kidsofgrace.com.

All elective classes will require a $200 annual registration fee per family, although the total cost of electives will vary by class/teacher. If you attend the Tuesday co-op, this fee is already included in your tuition.

Payment Plans

We understand that for large families, it may be challenging to pay the full tuition by August 1st. Please email us, and we will be happy to sit down with you and work with your family individually on a personalized plan.

Volunteering

Every parent or guardian will be required to volunteer. We intend to create a robust volunteer system that will ensure that the load will not fall on one individual, but will be shared by all, and therefore it will be a bearable and manageable load. We aim to foster a team mentality and involve you in making this co-op the best and most enjoyable experience possible. As homeschooling parents, the leadership believes that it is essential to be hands-on with our kids’ education and upbringing. We strive to foster close relationships with the families in attendance and collaborate with them to create an inviting and safe environment for our children. That’s why we need to make this a team effort. This does not necessarily mean you will be working all day, every day - we hope to create times for parents to have an opportunity to socialize and build great connections with other parents - but we want to emphasize that Anchored Homescool Academy co-op is truly a co-operative venture where everyone contributes.

Communication

Until our new website and email system are launched, all communication will continue through the info@kidsofgrace.com email address. We will share updates as soon as Anchored Homeschool Academy’s website and email are live.

Curriculum Overview

We intend to offer a full day of classes from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Subjects include science, physical education, Bible, geography, history, and writing. Please review the class description page for a comprehensive overview of what we plan to offer. The curriculum is subject to change and will be selected by the curriculum committee.

For preschool through kindergarten, our programming will conclude at noon, and a nap room and free play area will be available for parents who wish to stay while their older students are in class.

Supplies & Curriculum to Purchase

Tuition will cover most supplies. Your family may need to purchase a small number of textbooks.

  • We are still determining which books will be needed for the afternoon classes.
